Our methods.
-
Yoga therapy.
Through a combination of yoga poses, breathwork, meditation, and sometimes guided imagery, yoga therapy increases the body-mind connection, self- awareness, flexibility, and more to significantly improve physical and mental health. It can help with back pain, fatigue, anxiety, depression, and stress.
-
Exercise.
Being active 3-5 times per week for 30-60 minutes each time can be beneficial for good mental health, and movement and motion provide many benefits. Exercise helps to balance brain chemistry, which can boost your mood. Exercise also supports better sleep, less time to worry, and improved self-esteem.
-
Breath work.
When we are upset or stressed, we tend to hold our breath or engage in shallow beathing. This means that not enough oxygen is getting to our brains. Deep breathing can quickly reduce stress and can be done any place at any time.
-
Art therapy.
By drawing on the power of visual language, people can express themselves artistically to improve self-esteem, reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and resolve personal issues. This may be accomplished by using art materials such as chalk, paint, clay, and many other mediums.
-
Canine & animal therapy.
Individuals work with certified therapy dogs to help develop self-esteem, practice empathy, and address issues with control and fear that may stem from past traumas.
-
Energy healing.
This is a practice of working with the body’s energy channels to remove blockages and stimulate natural healing processes.
-
Meditation.
Learning to meditate is a quiet way to calm the mind. The practice helps to focus thoughts on the present moment and can lead to a peaceful and relaxed state of being.
-
Diet.
Brain health and mood can be improved through the implementation of a purposeful diet.
